Bähler uses a unique process in North America for the construction of sewage treatment containers and circular tanks, both for the agricultural and municipal sectors.
The process we use for circular tanks meets the unique and distinctive needs of the North American climate and market. Our exclusive formwork technology is particularly suited to the needs of digesters and sewage treatment tanks.
SOME FEATURES OF OUR BIOGAS TANKS:
- Steel formwork, easy to install and reusable
- Suitable for tanks 7 to 40 meters (23 to 131 feet)
- No tie-rods passing through the structure
- Smooth finish without pores or bubbles
- Membrane and insulation integrated into the structure of the tank
A PRECISE ENGINEERING
The risk of leaks is greatly reduced by the absence of tie-rods to secure the formwork inside and outside. The smooth finish of our tanks facilitates the use and improves the operational efficiency of the installation. The insulation, anti-corrosive membrane and hot water heating can be integrated into the concrete structure to increase its life and yield.
Moreover, the flexibility of our formwork allows us to adapt them to a wide variety of projects, which will save you time and cost while ensuring the precise engineering of our tanks.
MUNICIPAL RESIDUE MANAGEMENT
More and more municipalities are turning to biomethanation to dispose of organic waste and to treat waste sludge as an alternative or as a complement to other waste reduction techniques such as composting and recycling.
Our expertise of more than 25 years in the construction of agricultural pits, as well as our decades of experience in biogas make us your reference in biomethanation. Our team will guide you through your project and provide you with all the information you need to make the decision about the best option for you.
The benefits of biomethanation are many, including the renewable energy it generates. Your investment will quickly become profitable.
CONVERTING FAT AND WASTE SLUDGE INTO ELECTRICITY
Owen Sound and Georgian Bluffs (Ontario) municipalities have united their biogas projects in a site that converts fat and waste sludge into electricity, producing 350 kWh.
Bähler was hired to build concrete structures, plumbing and mechanical installations, as well as the electrical installations for the power generators.
DAIRY FARM EQUIPMENT UPGRADE AND POWER GENERATION
Géranik Farm (Ontario), a dairy and cash crop producer, developed a system to upgrade equipment and to create green energy through anaerobic digestion.
Bähler performed the formwork, tank construction and foundations for the electrical installations, as well as some plumbing work together with the engineering firm and the client.
PARTNERS IN BUSINESS
Before we undertake construction work, our team will put forward alternative proposals so you can choose the one that best matches your needs. Next, your project will be entrusted to a building engineer who will prepare tender specifications for construction as well as the financial and materials planning, in line with applicable standards. You will approve each of these before the project can proceed. Your building engineer will ensure that it the work is carried out according to specifications: on budget, on time, and in compliance with your objectives and building regulations.
